The annual Corpus Christi Day is a celebration of not just the school but also a wonderful reminder of the strength and power of community. It was a day filled with meaningful activities that highlighted the importance of coming together to support the community,  to celebrate shared values, and to enjoy time together.

One of the key elements of Corpus Christi Day is the focus on social justice and supporting vulnerable groups in our community. As part of our celebration, students and staff were encouraged to engage in charitable efforts aimed at helping those in need. This included the donation of essential goods and raising awareness for local organisations that support the homeless and other marginalised groups. By participating in these efforts, we were reminded of the importance of empathy, kindness, and the role each of us can play in making a positive impact on others.

The school community then came together in a spirit of unity and reflection in the celebration of Mass at Nazareth Catholic Church. Having all the school community together in one space to mark 20 years of Corpus Christi was a special moment in the life of the school. Following this, the tone of the day shifted to one of fun and celebration. The afternoon was filled with exciting rides, games, and food stalls, providing everyone with the chance to relax, unwind, and enjoy the company of friends and staff. Laughter and smiles were in abundance.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first Corpus Christi Day. It was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the connections within our school community. It was a reminder of the importance of working together, celebrating our shared values, and also enjoying each other’s company.
