STEMC Careers Day – Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators
Recently, Transport for NSW, in collaboration with the NSW Department of Education, hosted the annual STEMC Careers Day - a dynamic event that connected high school students with real-world STEMC professionals and projects shaping the future of transport.
Students explored hands-on exhibits showcasing the latest in virtual reality, drones, and artificial intelligence, gaining insights into how emerging technologies are transforming the industry.
The day featured engaging sessions on career pathways, apprenticeships, and graduate programs, as well as an empowering Women in STEMC Q&A panel, where students heard from industry leaders.
It was a great opportunity for students to engage directly with professionals and be inspired by the exciting possibilities a career in STEMC can offer. Special thanks to Mr Herron and Mr Pjanic for taking our students.
Year 10 UOW Discovery Day
Last Tuesday, Year 10 students had the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a university student. They took part in a range of hands-on activities across disciplines such as Engineering, Nursing, and Education. The day was designed to give students a taste of different career pathways and help them start thinking about their future study options. Many students enjoyed the chance to explore new subjects, meet university staff and students, and ask questions about life after high school. It was a valuable and inspiring experience that broadened their understanding of what university has to offer.
