HSC Minimum Standards Testing Update
Most students in Year 10 have now sat the HSC Minimum Standard tests for Reading, Writing and Numeracy. All students who have sat the tests should now have their results, with the exception of students who sat the Writing test at a later date, as these take several weeks to be marked and returned.
Results for the HSC Minimum Standards tests have been sent to students via their Students Online account. Students have been advised on how to activate their account. When viewing results, the HSC Minimum Standard is Level 3 (so Level 3 or above is needed to meet the standard). If any students are having trouble activating their account, they are welcome to email me and I will catch up with them during Learning Circle and help them.
For students who have yet to sit one or more of the tests, catch-up sessions will continue throughout the term.
If a student sat a test but did not meet the minimum standard, there will be a second opportunity to meet the standard towards the end of this term. Further details will be communicated via Compass in the coming weeks.
There will also be an information session for students addressing common issues with the Writing responses and how to maximise the chance of meeting the standard during subsequent attempts. Again, details will be communicated via Compass.
In addition to this, there will be further opportunities in Semester 2 as required.
