Year 11 Social Justice Activity for Corpus Christi Day
“Every child, every day, no matter what, deserves to feel loved, safe, and hopeful.”
Rachel Clancy
This year, Year 11 Students have voted to support the organisation ‘Hope in a suitcase’.
Hope in a Suitcase was established in 2018 by Rachael Clancy, a foster carer who recognised the need for children to have their belongings when entering care. Operating across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and Tasmania, the organisation has distributed thousands of suitcases to children in out-of-home care, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
The organisation relies entirely on volunteers and community donations. If you would like to donate an item, we would greatly appreciate your support. We are aiming to donate 18 suitcases this year.
Please hand items into the school office before Corpus Christi Day
Many thanks
Ms Ami Harries
Leader of Year 11
