Assistant Principal
Students ‘getting the little things right’ each and every day begins each morning. This involves ensuring that they are physically ready, that their uniform is correct and that their bag is packed for the day. In addition to this, students should also be ‘Ready to Learn’. This is an important part of life at Corpus Christi and ensures that teaching and learning is at the heart of what we do.
To be Ready to Learn, students should ensure the following:
- Self: This means being on time, prepared, in the correct uniform, and taking care of your personal needs during breaks.
- Others: Show respect by greeting staff appropriately, treating everyone with dignity, being inclusive, following instructions, and not disrupting others' learning.
- Learning: Come prepared with all necessary equipment, a charged laptop, and no visible phone or headphones. You should have completed previous tasks, catch up on any missed work, actively seek help when needed, and be committed to staying in the learning space unless absolutely necessary.
- Environment: This includes lining up quietly, entering the classroom calmly, using school equipment properly without damage, and staying in your seat unless otherwise directed.
By consistently upholding these standards, you'll develop important qualities like ownership, curiosity, empathy, courage, and reflectiveness.
