AVISTA Show
This week, our year 8, 10, iSTEM and Engineering classes attended the AVISTA show. This was an opportunity to explore careers in the STEM industry. We were presented with a range of exciting opportunities. We encouraged our young people to think outside the square when looking at available STEM career opportunities.
The AVISTA program provides direct insights into current pathways to students, parents and teachers across Australia. In addition to the roadshow there were a range of resources available to help further students’ understanding of STEM Careers and Defence Industry pathways.

The CCCHS TAS team offers a broad curriculum in STEM. This is an elective where many of our students demonstrate great promise including, robotics, cybersecurity, aeronautical engineering, drone exploration, computer aided design, 3D printing and graphic design.
We hope to see increasing numbers taking on these exciting career pathways when making subject selections for Year 9 and 11, later in the year. For more information, please feel free to speak to the TAS LAs who are excited to answer your questions about any of the above mentioned career opportunities.
