Youth Justice Excursion
15 students from Years 9 and 10 Commerce classes visited the UOW Innovation Campus on Friday, 2 May. The Law Society of NSW held a Young Justice seminar for select students across NSW who are interested in a legal career. Students were treated to a panel discussion from a range of young lawyers - a criminal defence lawyer, a personal compensation lawyer, and a family law expert. The panel fielded questions regarding the practicalities of the profession, and provided rich and engaging advice on becoming a lawyer. Students also engaged in a collaborative activity exploring the ethics of legal decisions in a range of contexts. Students from Corpus Christi engaged excellently in these student led sessions, with many students taking lead roles.
Congratulations to all involved!
