Support Project Compassion – Every Donation Counts!
So far, our school community has raised $119 for Project Compassion, supporting Caritas Australia’s vital work with vulnerable communities. While this is a great start, we can do even more!
Every donation, no matter how small, helps provide essential resources like education, healthcare, and clean water to those in need. Let’s continue to show our compassion and generosity by giving what we can.
Together, we can make a real difference! Please donate to Project Compassion today.
Year 7 Explore What It Means to Be Catholic
As part of their first topic in Religious Education, our Year 7 students have been exploring the question “What does it mean to be Catholic?” This foundational unit encouraged students to reflect on the key beliefs, practices, and symbols that shape Catholic identity and tradition.
To mark the end of the unit, students were given the opportunity to express their learning creatively by painting wooden crosses. These crosses are not only a reflection of their understanding but also a symbol of their place in our faith community. Each cross has been thoughtfully decorated and will now be displayed in classrooms across the school as a sign of faith, welcome, and unity.
It has been wonderful to witness the enthusiasm and thoughtfulness our newest students have brought to their learning. Their work reminds us all of the richness of our Catholic tradition and the importance of living out our faith in meaningful and visible ways.
We are proud of Year 7 for their efforts and look forward to seeing how they continue to grow in faith, knowledge, and community.
Corpus Christi Students Represent School at Bishop’s Mass
Last week, six of our students had the privilege of representing Corpus Christi at the annual Bishop’s Mass, a special celebration that brings together schools from across the Diocese in a spirit of faith, unity, and mission.
We would like to sincerely thank Elijah Maounis, Anabelle Maounis, Noah Coopes, Emilie Hermann, Karolyn Klemate, and Mia Allard for their participation and reverent presence throughout the liturgy. Whether through reading, presenting the offertory, or simply being part of the gathered community, these students represented our school with pride, respect, and faith.
The Bishop’s Mass is a powerful reminder of our shared Catholic identity and the strength of our community when we come together in prayer and purpose. We are proud of these students for their involvement and thank them for their leadership and witness.
Year 8 Students Attend Bishop’s Mass with Stella Maris and Nazareth Primary Schools
Recently, a group of our Year 8 students had the opportunity to attend the Bishop’s Mass, joining students and staff from Stella Maris and Nazareth Schools for this special diocesan celebration.
The Mass was a beautiful expression of our shared faith and a reminder of the wider Catholic community we belong to. Our students participated reverently and represented Corpus Christi with great respect and enthusiasm. They were particularly inspired by the Bishop’s message, which encouraged young people to live out their faith through everyday actions of kindness, courage, and presence.
It was a wonderful opportunity for our Year 8 students to come together with peers from other schools, connect through prayer, and deepen their understanding of what it means to be part of the Catholic Church today.
We thank our staff for accompanying the students and Stella Maris and Nazareth for their warm welcome and shared spirit.
